A to Z challenge: M is for Christa Maurice

Welcome to the Nice Girls Writing Naughty version of the A-Z Challenge! Today’s  featured guest author is Christa Maurice.

Here’s a little more about Christa Maurice:

Christa Maurice spends a lot of time lost in imagination. When not writing, she loves to travel and has spent several years living overseas. She spent four years living in Abu Dhabi where the temperature was always hot, the sunrise and sunset were pretty stable year ‘round and she could go weeks without speaking to a man who wasn’t selling her groceries. You know that happens to a woman living in what amounts to a harem situation? She spends a lot of time talking about shoes and thinking about men. Which brings us right back to being lost in imagination…

Check out Christa’s HOLLYWOOD NIGHT series HERE. It includes Try a Little Tenderness, Love me Tender and Tender is the night.

And here is here Interview:

What story first hooked you as a reader?
The Hobbit. I was behind by grade in reading when I discovered that book and by the end of the year I had read it 3 times, tested two grades above my reading level and my voracious reading habits prompted my father to convince the local Rotary Club to build a library in my hometown.
When did you know you first HAD to write?
After seeing The Empire Strikes Back I created a fanfiction version that I told my mother and she was so entertained that I wanted to keep doing it and for a bigger audience with my own stories.
What excites you most about your current work-in-progress?
Ruining my characters’ lives knowing that everything will be right in the end.

Introvert or Extrovert? How does this affect your work?

Hardcore introvert. It certainly means that I can keep myself entertained for hours. My introversion also heavily influenced the heroine of my most recent book Try a Little Tenderness. I was editing it before I realized that most of Taylor’s actions and desires could be explained by her being an introvert.
