Welcome to the Nice Girls Writing Naughty version of the A-Z Challenge! Today’s featured guest author is Lori King.
Get to know Lori King!
Lori King is the author of more than thirty Amazon best-selling romance novels, as well as a full-time wife and mother of three boys. Although she rarely has time to just enjoy feminine pursuits; at heart she is a hopeless romantic. She spends her days dreaming up Alpha men, and her nights telling their stories. An admitted TV and book junkie, she can be found relaxing with a steamy story, or binging in an entire season of some show online. She gives her parents all the credit for her unique sense of humor and acceptance of all forms of love. There are no two loves alike, but you can love more than one with your whole heart.
With the motto: Live, Laugh, and Love like today is your only chance, she will continue to write as long as you continue to read. Thank you for taking the time to indulge in a good Happily Ever After with her.

Now for the crazy interview portion of this interview!
1. What story first hooked you as a reader? What genre do you read most now?
I don’t know if I could pinpoint the story that first hooked me, because I’ve been reading all my life. My mama even says she read to me while I was still in the womb, but I can’t recall it. I read mostly erotic romance, but I’m eclectic in my tastes too. I love biographies, and non-fiction war history, as well as spy thrillers and poetry.
2. You explore a lot of adventurous areas in your books—ménage, shifters, BDSM and kink. Which series did you enjoy writing most, and why?
I love writing a happily-ever-after. Period. It doesn’t matter if the characters shift into animals, practice blood play, or have multiple partners. As long as the essence of the story is based in the romantic relationship, I’m enjoying myself.
3. As diverse as your books are, what traits do your heroes share? Your heroines?
I think every one of my heroes is an Alpha male. They believe in treating their woman like a lady, and they respect her as much as they love her. They’re also all flawed. I’ve never written one perfect man, and in fact, in many of my stories, the guys screw up and have to figure out how to make up. I think this tiny piece of reality is as important as the fantasy of the perfect guy.
4. What’s the weirdest thing about you that most readers don’t know?
I skip over the sex scenes in most books when I’m reading. I guess because I write so many, they’re just not that interesting to me anymore. I crave the build-up and the anticipation, not the actual act.
