Hi, everyone! I’m Darah Lace and I really don’t know if much could be better than sex (with the right person, of course), but this quick and easy dessert comes pretty close. It’s chocolate ecstasy in your mouth.
Better Than Sex Chocolate Layer Dessert
Ingredients for First Layer:
1 stick margarine
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans
Mix and press layer flat in a 9×12 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown (about 20 minutes).
1 8 oz package of cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
1 9 oz Cool Whip
Mix and after the crust has cooled, spread this layer.
1 large instant pudding – chocolate
Prepare according to pudding directions and spread over the second layer.
1 9 0z Cool Whip
1 Large Hershey chocolate bar
Spread Cool Whip over third layer, top with shavings from the chocolate bar and a few left over pecans, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate until the party begins.
If you want a challenge, cut out circles from your crust, place them in cute little dessert cups and make individual servings of the cool decadent dessert.
And speaking of cool decadence, if you’re looking for a crisp winter story, in the second book of the Preston Brothers series, Bachelor Auction, Charlotte uses a chocolate dessert to lure Marcus into a bet he can’t refuse. Win or lose, he wins.
Her gaze skittered over his bare chest, making him wish he’d grabbed a shirt, and lingered on the top button of the jeans he’d left undone. He quickly rectified that error, which drew her attention back to his face for a brief moment before she swept past him, muttering something about needing chocolate.
He did a one-eighty and followed her to the bar as if she held him by some imaginary leash. Once there, she flipped a switch on the wall and soft light filtered over them from the lamp above the pool table. She perched on a high stool and proceeded to stick her finger into whatever concoction the bellhop had delivered.
Mesmerized, he watched her insert the goo-covered finger into her mouth. She closed her eyes with what could only be described as orgasmic bliss as she sucked. His mind screamed at him to run, but his feet remained stationary, rooted to the spot as she slid her finger out and licked her soft pink lips. So much for a cold shower.
“Mmm, this is so good.” She wiped her hands on the paper napkin she pulled from a plastic packet along with utensils. With the spoon, she nudged a cherry to the side of the large bowl.
Against his better judgment, he ventured closer. “What is it?”
“A hot fudge sundae with extra, extra, extra fudge. Next best thing to sex.” She scooped a heaping spoonful into her mouth.
Another moan of pleasure escaped her, firing Marcus into a retreat across the room before he proved her theory wrong. He really should leave her to the dessert, but for the life of him he couldn’t. Instead, he began assembling the balls on the pool table. Anything to stay active and keep his focus off her while he kept her talking. “What is it with women and chocolate?”
“Well, if you can’t have sex…”
Marcus Preston wants a relationship built on love and trust, but the woman he wants made it clear long ago she’s only interested in fun and games. Yet, moving on proves difficult when no one else can erase the memory of the night they shared last summer.
Charlotte Reese doesn’t believe in love, marriage, or happily ever afters. An occasional one-night stand is all she needs to take the edge off her loneliness and enhance the bad-girl image. An image she uses to discourage commitment-seeking men—especially Marcus, the only man to melt both her body and her heart.
When Charlotte wins Marcus hot off the block of Houston’s Most Eligible Bachelor Auction and they’re forced to spend the weekend together, she seizes the opportunity to seduce him. It’s the only way to extinguish the attraction sizzling between them once and for all. But for Marcus, it’s all or nothing. He won’t be seduced. Instead, he’ll show Charlotte she has more to offer a man than sex.
