There’s nothing we love more than to talk spicy plots, sexy games, and hungry heroes. We hope this is a place where you feel comfortable doing that too! So here’s a little about some of us to get the conversation rolling! Angel Payne is the USA Today bestselling author of several romance series featuring sexy alpha men and the women who love them. She’s been writing for thirty years, including publishing historical romance under a different pseudonym. Her W.I.L.D. Boys of Special Forces series boasts an avid worldwide fandom, and in 2013, she launched the Secrets of Stone series, a collaboration with new romance talent Victoria Blue. Angel lives in Southern California with her gorgeous husband and beautiful daughter, where she enjoys being outside, staying active, and, of course, reading great books.
~ I used to be a nightclub disc jockey. At the same time, I was a PA (personal assistant) in the recording industry, and worked with some really cool people, such as Anita Baker, Natalie Cole, and Earth, Wind & Fire.
~ I also used to ride bicycles semi-competitively. I had a couple of high performance road bikes, and averaged about 200 miles a week. I know, I’m strange! Despite all the races I entered, my proudest bicycling accomplishment is completing the California AIDS Ride (now known as the AIDS Lifecycle) 2 years in a row, in 1999 and 2000. It’s a 6-day, 676-mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, to raise dollars and awareness about the toll HIV is still taking.
~ I’ve seen “Phantom of the Opera” 26 times–though I love all Broadway shows! My husband and I met in a chat room on Playbill.com. Other favorites include “Rent,” “American Idiot,” “Miss Saigon,” and “Carousel.”
~ Channing Tatum is an obsession. Okay, this isn’t such a secret! LOL. One of the best days of my life was getting to eat at his bar in NOLA.
~ I have super strange toes. the first 3 are really long and the last 2 are really short.
Tina Christopher spent her early years flitting across the Channel between Germany and England. After touring the world extensively, she finally laid down roots in Toronto. And while Canada’s winters may be frigid, Tina’s characters are anything but! When not imagining faraway worlds and scorching hot encounters, Tina can be found on her sofa cuddling with her cat, Miss Emma Peel, and working through her never-ending TBR pile or venturing into the real world—whether to a nearby café or a passport-required destination.
~ I LOVE to travel and enjoy exploring the world.
~ I drink enough tea to have a tea store in my cupboard.
~ When I moved from London to Toronto 8 of my 10 boxes were filled with books. Priorities ;).
~ I have lived in 3 countries and am fluent in German.
~ My cat Emma is a blood donor cat and a hero who makes me laugh every day.
Cynthia Sax writes Contemporary, SciFi and Paranormal Erotic Romance for Avon Impulse, Ellora’s Cave, Loose Id and Changeling. She lives in a world filled with magic and romance. Although her heroes may not always say, “I love you,” they will do anything for the women they adore. They live passionately. They play hard. They love the same women forever.
~ Cynthia Sax’s muse runs on Nutella!
~ My personal motto is “Balls To The Wall” (which doesn’t refer to the balls you might be thinking of – grins – but has the same thrust to it)
~ I love VERY bad puns. Reading and writing buddies know this (hugs them all) and send me their worst.
~ I read in a scientific journal that hugs, even virtual hugs, make people live longer so I don’t take any chances and hug everyone.
~ My favorite type of reader mail is requests for updates on beloved characters. I LOVE those!
Lara Archer has been making up stories in her head since kindergarten and writing fiction seriously since high school; under a different pen name, she’s an award-winning writer of mainstream historical romance, but has recently started writing romance of a much more intensely spicy flavor. She’s putting finishing touches on two historical erotic romances that she’ll self-publishing by the end of this summer, with some contemporary erotic stories soon to follow. (Website Coming Soon)
~ I can read tarot cards.
~ I’ve got a wicked pirate accent, and sometimes work as a tour guide for a pirate-haunted house.
~ I hate mangoes. Really, really hate mangoes. Like, you-could-make-me-run-screaming-if-you-chased-me-with-one hate mangoes.
~ I’m descended from a long line of professional wedding dress-makers.
~ I cheat at Monopoly. Shamelessly.
